We offer prenatal follow up at our clinics and deliveries at Lasalle Hospital. We also offer breastfeeding support and, in some cases, newborn and children care.

Dr. Annie Beaudoin is a general practitioner at the GMF Espace Santé IDS, in Nun’s Island. She completed her medical degree at the University of Montréal. She then completed her residency training in family medicine at the University of Sherbrooke, followed by an enhanced skills program in perinatology. Her interest in physiologic birth also led her to complete workshops on the mechanics of obstetrics and the prevention of prolapse with Dr. Bernadette de Gasquet.
Dr. Beaudoin joined the Family Medicine Obstetrical team at LaSalle Hospital in 2015. Since then, she has actively participated in clinical activities at the birthing center, as well as the breastfeeding clinic.
From obstetrical follow up visits to labour and delivery, Dr. Beaudoin aims to create a relaxed, reassuring, and pleasant environment for pregnant women and her entourage. She offers support and guidance throughout pregnancy and delivery, with high quality care for both mothers and newborns.

Dr. Camille Beaulieu-Denault completed her residency training in family medicine, followed by an enhanced skills program in perinatology in 2012 at Laval University. After completing 3 years in obstetrical and pediatric care in Drummondville, she joined the Family Medicine Obstetrical team at LaSalle Hospital. Currently, she provides obstetrical and pediatric care at the GMF South-West, as well as breastfeeding care at LaSalle Hospital.
For Dr. Beaulieu-Denault, obstetrics is a true passion, and she has completed several workshops with the aim of providing women with the most physiologic birth possible.

Dre Catherine Bérubé graduated from Montréal University’s School of Medicine in 2013 and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Sherbrooke in 2015. She also completed additional training in obstetrics and perinatal care at Cité de la Santé in Laval, a program offered by the University of Montréal to further the training and knowledge of doctors in those fields. She is also trained with regard to the physiological aspects of giving birth and the Gasquet method, allowing her to accompany women who prefer that type of approach.Since completing her residency, she principally follows pregnancies and dispenses pediatric care at the GMF Espace Santé on Nun’s Island – Verdun and works as an obstetrician at the Lasalle Hospital. She is also a member of the team of doctors who work at the breastfeeding clinic of the same hospital. She strives to offer personalized and adapted care to couples in order to honour their vision of pregnancy and birth, while never neglecting the health and safety of the mother and her child.

Dr Julie Choquet offers prenatal care at the GMF du Sud-Ouest in Verdun. She trained in Family Medicine at McGill University, where she graduated in 1993. Since then she has worked with the family medicine obstetrical team at LaSalle Hospital. She is also actively involved in helping mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals at the LaSalle Hospital Breastfeeding Clinic.
Dr Choquet believes in the woman’s innate ability to birthe, and tries to respect the natural physiology of birth while keeping mothers’ and babies’ safety a priority.

Dr. Anna Fichman completed her medical school in St-Peterburg, Russia. She did her residency training in Family Medicine at McGill University. She subsquently completed fellowship training in maternal and child health and a course of focused Obstetrical ultrasound.
Dr. Anna Fichman has an extensive family practice based in Verdun. She dedicates 2 days per week to caring for pregnant patients, and deliveries at LaSalle Hospital. She is happy to provide care in English, French, Russian and Spanish.
Dr. Fichman is a big fan of outdoors, quality time in family, teamwork and common sense. She is always happy to see you either at her office, or even better in the forest running on the trails or orienteering off the beaten path!

Dr Catherine Halliday is part of the family medicine obstetrics group at the Lasalle Hospital. She has a varied practice. She works at the GMF 55 de l’Église clinic doing prenatal care as well as pediatrics and general family medicine at the Clinique Médicale Métro Monk.
Furthermore, she also works at the Lasalle Hospital Breastfeeding clinic.
She completed her medical studies at the University of Montreal and was part of the family medicine residency program at the Jewish General Hospital with McGill University.
To further improve her knowledge in obstetrics, Dr Halliday pursued a six-month training program at the end of her residency with McGill University in pediatrics and obstetrics.

Dre Dominique Rompré obtained her medical degree at Université de Montréal in 2007. In 2009, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Unité de Médecine familiale in Verdun.
It’s during her residency that she had her first glimpse of the maternity ward of Lasalle hospital; she loved it and has never left since. Dre Rompré offers pregnancy follow-ups at the Clinique Médicale du Sud-Ouest.
Dre Rompré is a team worker, she values communication and close collaboration with her colleagues and her patients.
Patient security if of the utmost importance to her, and she participates to committees related to this aspect of her practice.

Dr Ji Min Jeong is a family doctor practicing mainly at Mednam Clinic in Lachine where she offers pregnancy follow-ups, pediatric care, as well as general family medicine.
She received her medical degree from University of Montreal and completed her family medicine residency at McGill University with a continuous passion for obstetric and pediatric medicine.
She pursued further training in obstetrics and pediatrics through the Mother and Child Enhanced skills program at McGill University after residency.
Throughout her training, she had the opportunity to train in multiple birthing centers in Montreal including Royal Victoria Hospital, Jewish General Hospital, Ste-Justine Hospital, as well as St Mary’s Hospital.
She joined the Family Medicine Obstetrical team at LaSalle Hospital in 2023.
Dr Jeong has at heart to provide personalized patient centered care while keeping the health of the mother and the child as priority.

Dr Josyane Thomassin graduated from McGill University’s medical program in 1986 and from the Family Medicine program of the same University in 1988. She has been practicing obstetrics for the last 30 years. With her team, she offers personalized, patient-centered perinatal care in a welcoming and warm environment in her West Island office and delivers her patients exclusively at LaSalle Hospital. Dr Thomassin strives to give each patient her ideal perinatal and delivery experience while ensuring the safety of both mother and child. Dr Thomassin is a member of the Collège des Médecins du Québec, of the Canadian Medical Association and of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Although she works within a group and takes call for that group, she is occasionally available for her own patients outside of her on-call time. When possible, she is happy to offer pediatric care to the newborns she has delivered.

Dr. Yi-Hong Shao is a family doctor with specialized training in obstetrics. She provides care to patients in the regions of Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
She completed her medical degree and residency training at McGill University. She then pursued an enhanced skills program in Women’s Health and Low Risk Obstetrics at the University of Toronto, where she acquired skills and knowledge to help women through all stages of life – including pregnancy, childbirth, perinatal mental health, contraception, menopause and management of pregnancy loss and terminations. She had the opportunity to train at Mount Sinai Hospital, one of the highest volume obstetrical centers in Canada.
Dr. Shao joined the Family Medicine Obstetrical team at Lasalle Hospital in 2022. She strives to offer personalized and adapted care to couples. She is happy to provide care in English, French and Mandarin and she remains happy to offer pediatric care for the newborns of her patients.

Dr. Valerie Stuckey is a family doctor with a special interest in obstetrics, paediatrics and women’s health. Dr. Stuckey obtained her medical degree from McGill University in 2005, and completed a Maternal and Infant Care Fellowship at McGill after her residency in 2007.
Dr. Stuckey delivered babies and offered breastfeeding consultations at Lasalle Hospital until 2018. However, she continues to provide prenatal care to women desiring to give birth at Lasalle Hospital. Dr. Stuckey has a busy general family medicine practice as well and strives to provide quality patient-centered care to her clientèle.
Dr. Stuckey also teaches first-year McGill medical students at her office through the Longitudinal Family Medicine Experience program. She is a member of the Collège des médecins du Québec and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. In addition, she was awarded a Fellowship in the College of Family Physicians of Canada designation (FCFP) in 2018 for demonstrating a commitment to achieving and maintaining excellence across the broad range of competencies that characterize outstanding family physicians.
